“Warm Winter” Campaign in Driouch
As temperatures continue to drop across Moroccan cities, people in vulnerable situations face major challenges, with finding a warm shelter becoming an urgent necessity to ensure their safety.
In this context, the Social Pole of Tafersit launched a humanitarian campaign titled “Warm Winter” on the evening of Friday, January 31, 2025. The initiative aims to provide support and assistance to individuals struggling with harsh living conditions during the winter season.
This campaign was organized in coordination with the Provincial Delegation of National Mutual Aid in Driouch, the Moroccan Red Crescent, the Binaa Development Association – Driouch, and local authorities. Field tours were carried out across the streets and alleys of the city to identify people without shelter exposed to the cold.
As part of the initiative, several beneficiaries were transferred to the Social Shelter Center in Tafersit, where they received essential care, including meals and medical services, as part of ongoing efforts to ease their suffering during this cold period.
It is worth noting that such humanitarian initiatives are widely carried out across many Moroccan cities during winter, led by National Mutual Aid and charitable associations, which distribute blankets, warm clothing, and hot meals — all aimed at strengthening solidarity and social cohesion.
